Ingredients
- 500g ground beef
- Brown onion
- Red onion
- Tomato
- Lettuce
- Ketchup / mayo
- Egg
- Breadcrumbs
- Black pepper
- Garlic granules
- Suya spice
- Salt
- Vegetable oil
Method
- Massage/ mix the below seasonings and ingredients into 500 grams of ground beef
- ½ tsp. of salt
- ½ tsp. of black pepper
- 1 tsp. of garlic granules
- 2 tbsps of suya spice
- 1 egg
- 1/8th cup of breadcrumbs
- ¼ of a medium brown onion, diced
- Roll/form 4 patties and put them onto a grilling tray
- Bake in the oven at 200°C for 25 minutes – flip half way
- In a pan, add 2 tbsps of vegetable oil. For ca. 5-7 minutes, pan fry the below on a medium temperature:
- ¼ red onion, sliced
- 1 large tomato
- Remove the above from your pan and toast your buns (ca. 1-2 minutes)
- To form your burger:
- Start with sauce on the base on the bottom bun
- Add your lettuce
- Add tomato
- Add your cooked patties
- Onions on top
- Optional: add cheese
- Finally, add more sauce on top to finish
