Ingredients
- 400 grams of chicken wings
- 1 medium carrot
- ½ medium brown onion
- Garlic
- Ginger
- ½ medium bell pepper
- Spring onion
- All-purpose seasoning
- Black pepper
- Chicken seasoning
- Green seasoning
- Paprika
- Fresh thyme
- Pimento
- Browning
- Spray oil
- Vegetable oil
- Salt
- 1 scotch bonnet
- Ketchup
Method
- Clean 400 grams of chicken wings with water and lemon and/or vinegar
- Prepare the following ingredients:
- 1 medium carrot, chopped
- ½ medium brown onion, chopped
- 2-3 cloves of garlic, diced
- ¼ inch of ginger, diced
- ½ bell pepper of any colour, chopped
- 1 spring onion stalk, sliced
- Add the above ingredients to your chicken in your bowl; alongside the following seasonings:
- ½ tbsp. all-purpose seasoning
- ½ tsp. of black pepper
- ½ tbsp. of chicken seasoning
- 1 tsp. of green seasoning
- ½ tsp. of paprika
- ½ handful of fresh thyme
- ½ tsp. of pimento
- 1 tsp. of browning
- Few spritz of spray oil
- Massage in the seasonings and ingredients, if you have time, allow this to marinate for ca 30 minutes
- Add 1.5 tbsps of oil to a wok and heat up for ca 1-2 minutes
- Brown your chicken on both sides (5-7 minutes, medium to high temperature)
- Add the rest of your vegetables in the bowl, along with some water until the chicken is almost covered
- Add a scotch bonnet on top
- Cover your wok/pot and cook on a medium to hot temperature for 25-30 minutes, until the saucy has thickened and the chicken is completely brown. Turn occasionally
- Add salt/ all-purpose to taste
- 10 minutes before the end, add 1 tsp. of ketchup
