Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 2 small shallots
- ½ small tomato
- ¼ medium bell pepper
- 2 chilli peppers (finger chillies)
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1.5 tbsps of vegetable oil
Method
- Dice:
- 2 small shallots
- ½ small tomato
- ¼ medium bell pepper
- 2 finger chillies
- Whisk 2 eggs with ½ tsp. salt and ½ tsp. pepper
- In a pan, heat up 1.5 tbsps of vegetable oil for 2 minutes on a hot temperature
- Add your shallots and chillies, cook on a medium to hot temperature for 2 minutes
- Add your bell pepper, cook further for 2 minutes
- Add your whisked eggs and make sure they are evenly distributed in the pan
- Cook on a low temperature until you are able to slide the base around in the pan with it staying in 1 “solid” condition - this should be within 5 minutes
- Flip one half of the omelette over the other – it is easier to flip if you slide the base slightly off the edge of the pan and flip the side out of the pan (see video for an example)
- Cook on a low temperature for a final ca. 3 minutes until the omelette is “well done”
